The original house was built circa 1808 by a prominent tannery owner, C.C. Graves. It is known to be the 2nd oldest standing structure in the area. The oldest is the Talley Ho stage coach stop which can be found about two miles up the Florence Taberg Rd. The history is rich in Florence and this house is an important part of its story. The original hand hewn (2” thick) wood floors still remain. The owners are happy to share more of the history with potential buyers, if interested!
